Bringing Home the Bacon
Meat has finally made its way to Green Aisle, courtesy of Marshall Green, chef/owner of sunny bruncher Cafe Estelle. For his bangin’ bacon, now available at our store, Green treats whole Berskhire pork bellies to weeklong cures in salt, pepper, raw sugar, allspice and maple syrup, then mesquite-smokes them tailgate-style in the Cafe’s parking lot before slicing (never too thick or too thin). Pick up a pack up today for the weekend. Your eggs deserve it. / $6 per half-pound
In Stock: Ric’s Breads
After a brief hiatus, our shelves are yet again bursting with fresh baked goods from Ric’s. Owners Michael (a CIA grad) and Michele Stauffer’s Queen Street bakery in the heart of postcard-cute Lancaster City supply us with loves of nutty, subtly sweet 14-grain whole wheat, pumpernickely cocoa-colored Black Russian and what is quite possibly the world’s most addictive cinnamon bread.
We also carry the English muffins everyone’s been buzzing about. Tall as a Rouge burger but soft as a pillow, Thomas’s these certainy ain’t. Five per bag, available in 14-grain or mined with gem-toned dried fruit. They were baked this morning so get ‘em while they’re still warm.

We rock it spread on crostini, blended into milkshakes, smeared on pretzels and fruit, turned into ganache, drizzled over vanilla ice cream or just eaten straight out of the jar with a spoon if we’re feeling civilized, with our fingers if we’re not.
